The staff were great,
Making our stay nice. The location was perfect for exploring, just steps away from the waterfront. The gym facilities were a bit lacking in maintenance and could benefit from an upgrade.

Convenient location, a short walk to everywhere. Walking distance to a bakery and stores across the street. The rooms with an amazing view and bedroom, as example. Modern interior design.

Great way to end our trip. Delightful small hotel with exceptional views of the ocean and table mountain. Huge room and very comfy bed. Great amenities like coffee and a living area;)))

high-quality rooms, lovely bathrooms, safe parking
The noise from nearby live music is a nuisance. It disrupts relaxation!!! The separate hotel guests using the pool creates a confusing atmosphere of shared spaces!!! Breakfast wait times are excessive, with staff needing to run back and forth!!!

The hotel has been beautifully appointed, offering great comfort and style. It is quiet whilst being in a superb city centre location. Finding it by road was not easy and a better map on your website would be helpful. We were given a very friendly welcome by Bronwin who looked after us superbly during our entire stay. He should be highly commended on his professionalism and his devotion to delivering the best possible guest experience. The garden and pool area offer an extremely pleasant environment in which to relax in the sun. I have already recommended Dock House to several friends and know that they will not be disappointed.
There is only one thing which I disliked about our room (No.1) is that I find beds with an end board at the foot of the bed uncomfortable to sleep in as I am unable to stretch out fully

The good outweighs the bad (barely)
Fine pools and friendly staff elevate the experience by creating a warm, cute ambiance, made our stay enjoyable.
While the room was not properly maintained, certain amenities were lacking, including a gym that needed urgent upgrades.

The historic architecture; luxurious rooms and bathroom; intimate garden and pool area ; the peacefulness despite the close proximity to the waterfront and the complimentary champagne on arrival to drink on the balcony
The cooked breakfast on the first day was poor ( sausage and bacon almost raw) so we ate at the v&a the second morning. However the breakfast on the third day was excellent. We loved our room but if you had a downstairs room without a balcony, I think it would be less enjoyable and private, especially with guets coming and going to the Waterfront through the dining room

Stayed here for 4 nights with my sister, had an extra special stay. Location: the hotel was near to the cultural and tourist sites, the great restaurants, and more typically bakery. Greatly enjoyed the well decorated and well-appointed room, and the spectacular view of the ocean and table mountain.

The daily breakfast was really good, especially the cold buffet and breakfast wrap. Although there was some noise from nearby live music and the breakfast service took a while due to off-site orders, the overall experience was lovely and relaxing.

We had a wonderful time exploring Cape Town and loved the charming room with a lovely veranda for our morning coffee! Relaxing at the spa, especially with the soothing massages and the outdoor swimming pool, was a highlight of our stay. There was a bit of noise from live music across the street, but it didn't bother us at all-definitely try their breakfast, it's fantastic ☕
